Welcome to the RSPCA Barnsley and District Branch
The Barnsley Branch of the RSPCA has existed for more than 40 years and the National Society has more than 90 local members. The Barnsley Branch is run by a committee of volunteer trustees, many of whom have full time jobs elsewhere. The Branch costs over £3,000 per month to run. This money is raised in the local area by volunteers through fundraising, donations, events and legacies.

Contact Information and Telephone Numbers
Please note that all of our phone lines are manned by volunteers. This does mean that on occasion we will not be able to answer your call. Because of this there are guidelines to consider when calling the numbers.
If you have an emergency situation or would like to report an act of cruelty (for any animal) please do not contact the branch lines and call the society directly on 0300 1234 999. If you do call one of the branch lines and it is to report cruelty or an emergency situation you will be asked to contact the society directly.
If you would like to adopt any of our animals, please contact the relevant branch
number. Please note that we cannot always take in unwanted animals for re-
All branch contact numbers have an answering machine service and we ask that if it is important you leave a message and we will aim to return your call within 24 hours. If you leave a message that is in regards to a report of cruelty, animal emergency or is about an animal other than the one the phone line is dedicated to then we will not return your call.
Please note that these guidelines have been put in place to help us manage our volunteer’s time as they are all extremely busy. If you think you could volunteer to help the branch in the future then please let us know as any help is greatly received!

not connected with the society on any level and are therefore collecting funds illegally.
Unfortunately these funds do not come to the society and are not accounted for. If
